This is just a prospect project, but we need to know if this can be done first.
We need a cart with the following characteristics (of course the classic characteristics of every common shopping cart must be included):
1. Able to take at least 600 customers. Each customer should have user
name and password to access the cart (so they can access their profiles)
2. Each of customer has a different discount... this is, for product
number 1, customer "a" will have a discount of 15%, customer "b" 20%...
and so on
3. When a customer access his/her account, the cart should show a
different currency for a different customer (e.g. USD, CDN or EURO)
4. Some products will show price
5. Other products won't show price because the products are customized... so the customer will pick from certain fields what the end product should have --->> after that an e-mail will arrive to sales department, and the sales department will call this customer to give them a quote, or to ask more questions about the order.
6. They will have about 5,000 products.
7. It should have a search engine.... they want the customer to be able
to find a product by serial number
8. I'm not sure about this one: it seems that certain product will have
different characteristics for different customers.... for example a desk: for customer "a" the desk will come with 2 drawers.. for customer "b" this same desk will come with 4 drawers.. and so on.
Maybe a cart that is already programed can be modified and apply these features. Anyone interested?
