I work for a small website design firm and we have SquirrelCart project in mid development. Both of our prior contractors have quit because of this cart. The project is a flag store with approximately 1000 products, multiple categories, most of the coding done, and the database constructed and 99% populated.
We need someone familiar with SquirrelCart and mySQL who can fix the problems and bring it on line quickly and inexpensively. We are already over budget because of the prior issues and are limited on funds.
We are looking for somebody who:
1) Who is somewhat familiar with SquirrelCart.
2) Knows PHP and has references.
3) Is ready to start now and can work quickly. We are way behind schedule.
4) Knows how to move this cart from one server to another.
5) Can figure out how to make this cart do what the client wants.
6) Is flexible.
7) Can work on an hourly basis or some type of flex quote system.
8) Is looking for future work. We have part two to this project (a smaller store) as well as other projects pending.
And last but probably the most important,
9) Has great communication skills. The ability to understand what we/the client needs and to be able to communicate any problems/concerns you might have when they arise is very important (This does not refer to whether or not you are a native English speaker). The ability to keep us updated daily if needed is a must. The client is very persistent.
We cannot afford to pay for any kind of learning curve. Please have some familiarity with SquirrelCart or be an expert with OSCart or OSCommerce and be willing to experiment with this cart on your dime and just charge us for the actual work done.
Ps. No, we are not interested in switching carts, unless you have an incredibly cheap, ready right now, identical in layout solution that you are the absolute master of.
