P.S. We do NOT outsource! Let's AJAX! is based in Pittsburgh, PA, USA, and we will work with you until you have a final product you love. Visit http://www.letsajax.com/ to see for yourself!
LIMITED TIME ONLY: As we only have one product in our portfolio right now, we are offering reduced rates to our next 3 projects in order to build up a good portfolio. Take advantage of this great offer today! Let's AJAX!

I really do not see the advantages.
All of your advantages on your website are very bland, and does not seem to compare a website without AJAX to a website with AJAX.
Apart from the quicker page loading.
How does AJAX make users feel more comfortable with a company?
Why is it a smoother experience?
Why does it look more professional?
"Nobody would trust a company with a barely functional website, but nearly everyone will trust a well designed, sleek, well-working site"
Whats this got to do with AJAX?

In order to compare two things, you do not need to say "Well Object A does *this* but, in contrast, Object B does *that* as doe Object C." The use of superlative - words like "more" and "better" - implies that the various details mentioned in the site's text are present with AJAX and not pressent without AJAX.
How does it make users feel more comfortable? Well, I'll admit that was stated a bit too matter-of-factly, but AJAX certainly can easily make users more comfortable. When a user is confronted with a web interface that is very intuitive and functional, he feels more comfortable. Don't you feel more comfortable watching TV with a remote than without?
As for how it looks more professional, an AJAX-powered website (that falls back on some other system when JavaScript is disabled) can look more professional than a simple HTML site on account of its dynamicism and versatility.
And, well, I'm sorry if you can't make the connection between two adjacent sentences, but the line you refered to ("Nobody would trust a company with a barely functional website, but nearly everyone will trust a well designed, sleek, well-working site.") was simply making a point that users appreciate better made websites, which, in turn, as you may notice due to the context of a website entirely about AJAX, implies that AJAX provides improved functionality.
To sum up the advantages of AJAX: it allows quicker loading times, reduces bandwidth, expands the functionality of the site (there are many things you can do with AJAX that you can't with HTML or PHP), and can create a much more comfortale user experience. That last point is very important because, of course, any business relies on its clients.
I'll see what I can do about rewriting the text to sway a wider audience more easily.

Sounds good, but im still not sure about this bit: -
"Nobody would trust a company with a barely functional website, but nearly everyone will trust a well designed, sleek, well-working site."
That just sounds like abit of extra waffle just thrown in there. Its not really an advantage of AJAX and is just a fact of any website, even if its just solely HTML.

Maybe. It's still true, though. Thanks for playing devil's advocate haha, but this is in the Job Offers forum and not the Website Review one.

hi barnz1986,
maybe these articles can show some pointers:
http://www.internetnews.com/dev-news...le.php/3606601
and also this book:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/158...lance&n=283155
php development itself is now (already) on the way to web 2.0 support. maybe in some months, you can see json supported officially as php extension (not in pecl anymore).
regards,

AJAX dosnt really make a site load faster
it just takes away the user side requirement for performing such tasks as forms and interaction.
doing an entire site in AJAX is wrong. its purpose is to basicaly take away the need to refresh to submit data IMO.
anyway im not goin to hijack this thread

I think AJAX will work well for sites that require user interaction. It won't really make a site look better, it just helps make interaction with the user a bit easier, as well as faster.
IMHO, Ajax is the next level in web development and design.
