Enazen - Help Needed
Hello,
Enazen is a new project development team which is being formed. We are working on getting a domain as of right now, and have been planning this for quite some time.
Our goal is to create an amazing, innovative, simple, powerful, and liberating forum software. We want a small development team for the initial design, and will grow as our needs change.
We have divided the development into 3 core stages:
1) Detailed Plannig
2) Initial code/design
3) Design/Code further Integration
4) Release
Obviously we have more information than that above^. But this is meant to be a brief informational post.
We currently have 2 members (the project leader who is a great IT), and myself who is officially the 'outsourcing manager'. We have the following positions still open:
1. Development Manager: It Could be You!
The Development Manager should be experienced with PHP and MySQL, and as many other web technologies as possible. This person would be responsible for taking the Project Teams feature list and working out how it would be implemented, and coding it. Would have a team of coders to work with this person, and have a say in who gets to be on the team.
2. Design Manager: It Could be You!
The Design Manager would work closely with the Dev Manager to work out a templating system, the default style, and the styling features of the forum software. Would have a say in their team members, who would assist with this.
3. Features Manager: It Could be You!
The Features Manager must know what people want from forum software, and must be able to go into specifics about how a feature would be implemented, and convey it in a way designers and developers could relate to. A Good programming knowledge could be key in ensuring this position.
*Please note* that although everyone must start out somewhere, and we support coding/designing newbies in all of our efforts, we are only looking for well experienced parcipitants at this stage of development.
To give you a small bio:
A) We want to create a forum different than anything else, no phpBB clone
B) We want to create a forum which is lightening fast
C) We want to create a forum that is cross-platform compliant utilizing up to date methods and Object Oriented programming - possibly some AJAX.
D) Coded primarily using classes with PHP
If you are interested than please PM me on this website with your application. I am not giving you an application template, becuase I really want you to convince me why you should be accepted.
Thanks so much for your interest. If you have any questions or need more info, feel free to post so here!
Thanks,
Josh

sub2,
I'm sending you a PM, and this offer is still open. Just as an update we are getting a SourceForge account, and in the process of getting a domain. Help is still needed.
Remember this is great oppertunity, all of the 3 positions needed are management positions! The first release will be worked on by a small ammount of people, but as we grow you will be able to have your own team so to speak. That is why we are as of now only looking for those with experience.
-Josh

As of right now applications for Enazen are closed. A moderator can close this thread, please.
If you have PM'd or Emailed us BEFORE this message than you are still okay! We have gotten some hosting and a domain (enazen.co.uk) and are starting to setup a development area for our staff. If you have sent in an application then we will contactly you shortly with more details.
Thanks for your participation, interest, and support,
-Joshua
