We are a small rapidly growing company and currently have a unique vacancy for a php systems developer/programmer & designer. We operate a number of websites from our warehouse premises based on the outskirts of Bournemouth. The job will entail support and development of our existing e-commerce infrastructure, including database design and website support and development.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in php, mysql, xhtml and css as well as being commercially astute to software design and implementations. Knowledge of Linux server (apache, Redhat Enterprise) is also important. The role will include competent web server maintenance including patches and virus software.

We are constantly updating existing sites and launching new projects and the right applicant will play a key role in this.

Knowledge of Photoshop and In Design is also desired. Web design skills will be extremely beneficial as the ideal applicant will be able to provide a creative input on all projects.

I have a lot of experience of java, html, css (both 1 & 2) and php. I won the Programmer of the Year award in first year and I got an A for the website I made at A Level. I am now helping to maintain a website for the North Dorset District Council and developing a barcode printing program for Heritage Art Papers Ltd.
