I work for a Tennis/Golf resort, in the UK, and we need a script to perform a very specific function, there may be one out there already, but as far as my searches go I was unable to find one.
The script we need must be useable in any browser, and perform the following functions:
We have 11 tennis courts (1-9 and then A and B) and we need to be able to manage bookings for them upto 1 month in advance. The minimum booking time is 1hour, and we need to be able to place a membership number to be associated with the booking. That was most likely the easy bit!
We would then like to be able to show our members from an area on our clubs website exactly when the courts are booked up, by using one image when booked, and another when avaliable (these images have been created by our design team already). But we need to show all of the courts on one page for a specified hour, and from a drop down menu be able to select all the hours for that day (8am to 10pm) and from a separate menu all the days for the following month. So they may see which courts are booked, and call us up to book an avaliable one.
A feature we definately do not want is for our members to be able to book courts online, as this could lead to a larger number of no-shows.
Then in our tennis pavillion we would like to be able to display a screen which shows live information of the courts booked at that moment in time in the same format as above (i.e. All the courts on one page, with the differing icons) this would need to be updated at around 5 minute intervals.
As it is highly unlikely that a script such as this already exists, it may have to be built from scratch (or near enough) I and the other IT department members have had a go, and perhaps with more time we may be able to do it ourselves, but we are having an overhaul of our IT facilities at the moment, which rather takes up our time. Any scripts or ideas at how this could be done as simply as possible would be gratefully accepted
