Hey there.
I'm looking for committed, skilled programmers to help my partner and I develop an RPG/sim game for free of pay.
Our Goals?
To create a fun RPG/sim game based on a previous play-by-post Wolf RPG that I owned. The game will combine both elements of an RPG and a virtual pet sim, focused on the player as a wolf - a character in the realistic world of the game, located in Eastern Canada. The character will be able to hunt and fish in order to keep themselves well fed, watered, and their health from dropping, as well as join a pack, purchase items from NPC and player shops, and even breed. However at the same time, through play-by-post roleplaying, they will be able to find a mate, rise in the pack's ranks, and communicate with other players.
By doing this, we hope to introduce a fun new aspect of roleplaying to the RPG community, and a great new virtual pet sim to the VPS community at the same time.
The Details!
We are looking for at least
2-3 programmers to help us develop the game. Out of these programmers we hope to ultimately find a long-term partner to serve as Head Programmer, also part of the head staff/administration, and possibly a few other programmers to help along the way.
The website is currently owned by me, so if interested, I will provide you all of the FTP information and the like.
Pay?
Unfortunately, no, sorry! Hence the title, as I am currently down on money at the moment, other wise I would gladly hire programmers for pay. So, you'd have to be willing to work for free (unless of course you seek something pertaining to graphic design, as I myself am a freelance graphic designer/artist and know a fair bit of HTML and CSS... but I'm assuming you'd know HTML and CSS since you are a programmer
)
Current Staff
Current members of the staff solely consist of myself, Madison (or Lady Trupp, whatever you prefer) and my partner Amanda. I will serve as the character/item artist, while Amanda is in charge of content. However we are also interviewing other artists and writers to help us along the way.
Requirements
All we require of you is a fair bit of knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Javascript, and possibly ASP (if necessary). The rest, you can leave to us!
