I'm looking for a really good engineer to help with one of the final pieces of our customer support infrastructure.
We have a fairly extensive support infrastructure in place to support our 24x7 clientbase. We're looking to write one final piece, and we need to find a talented programmer to help us bring it to light.
Project Overview
What we want to do is write a client that sits running as a tsr on the client machine and occasionally pings a central server to check for updates. This "applet" should sit in the windows task bar, and provide us the ability to push client's messages about their account. Ideally, it would also notify them of updates to our helpdesk (which is keyed on their client ID).
We will provide sample messages of what we'll be sending, and can set up a dev database which can be queried. We will provide a GUI, with screenshots of sample applications and a wireframe example, as well as more detailed requirements documentation as required.
This application is targetted to windows users. The ideal programmer will have java or vc++ programming experience, and be interested in doing this quick little project inexpensively. It's really simple. All you have to do is create an application that runs in the windows task bar and displays a little html'i'fied window when new messages appear and the client clicks the link. This is the kind of project an experienced programmer can hammer out in a matter of hours (not complicated), and it should be a lot of fun to work on.
IM me if you're interested.
