The position:
TagMan is looking for a bright, motivated and talented JavaScript developer to join the company as a Senior JavaScript developer in a dynamic and rapidly expanding online environment. You will be based in our London Bridge office with great opportunities for long term promotion and development.
Responsibilities:
The Senior JavaScript developer will be responsible for the development, maintenance and support of the companies JavaScript assets and frameworks, which form a number of the core functional components of the product. This will include:
• Design, development and maintenance of the companies advanced JavaScript libraries
• Solving problems at the cutting edge of JavaScript development
• Hands on development as well as delegating work to external development resources
• Writing and administering JavaScript unit tests and testing frameworks
• Planning and implementation of JavaScript deployment and testing frameworks
Essential:
• 3 years software development experience including extensive JavaScript in the last 12 months
• Excellent JavaScript knowledge including cross browser issues
• AJAX development
• Use of source control platforms,
• JavaScript unit testing
• Experience developing robust and efficient code for large scale production applications
• Good appreciation of software development best practice
Preferred:
• Experience of automated build and deployment tools
• Bookmarklet development
• Agile development (SCRUM)
• Exposure to JsUnit, JsLint, YUI Compressor
• Exposure to mootools, prototype, scriptaculous, jquery)
• Experience of working with / managing external developer(s)
Hours of work:
Core hours of 9.00am to 5:30pm and as an employee of a dynamic & hard working team, you’ll be expected to work whatever hours are needed where reasonable, to complete all tasks and meet the department’s objectives.
Holidays:
5 weeks per annum.
