POSITION:
PHP Software Engineer

WHO WE ARE:
National Field is a technology startup revolutionizing the way people work together. Born in President Obama's 2008 campaign, the National Field Platform is the world's first hierarchical social network, leveraging the intelligence of the hierarchy to build smarter applications that reveal more information to more users based on their role and position within the organization's structure and that streamline communication up and down an organization's chain of command.

QUALIFICATIONS:
We're looking for someone with expertise in: PHP, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, and AJAX. Additionally, you should be comfortable working with MVC frameworks such as Symfony, and have experience working with relational database systems such as MySQL. Working knowledge of Subversion or related tools is a major plus.

DUTIES:
You would be tasked with working closely with the rest of the development team to plan, coordinate, and deliver smart and intuitive new features that expand our platform. You would also need to identify and address inefficiency and errors in coding (bug fixes) as well as (most importantly) develop highly scalable, reliable, and reusable code in a fast-paced environment. We write all of our web platform code in PHP - specifically the Symfony PHP framework.
