Web Development Intern – Development Management Office

Job Description
TriZetto’s Development Management Office (DMO) is looking for a creative web development intern with ideas, creativity and spark to develop and enhance our intranet sites and web-based tools used by the Development and Customer Services (DCS) business unit. DCS is responsible for the development and support of TriZetto’s enterprise-wide healthcare applications.
The sites used by DCS include a business unit communications portal, a project portfolio tracking site and quality management document management system. Additional tools focus on time tracking and reporting and custom dashboards.
The ASP.NET and Classic ASP sites incorporate a variety of technologies including on-the-fly charting, content management, table-less CSS and a variety of components and JavaScripts. The candidate will have the opportunity to use their creative development ideas to transform our sites and tools and to provide a richer user experience.
The Web Development Intern will reside within TriZetto’s Development Management Office (DMO) team. This team is responsible for providing project portfolio governance, operational metrics and business unit communications for the DCS business unit.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and enhance intranet sites and web-based tools managed by the DMO
2. Research and recommend new tools that can be integrated into the sites
3. Introduce new ideas for enhancing our sites
4. Perform other duties as required
Requirements
1. Current Computer Science (or related degree) student with at least one year of courses completed
2. Programming background with exposure to web-based technologies and database concepts
3. Working knowledge of HTML, ASP/ASP.NET, JavaScript and CSS using Dreamweaver and/or Visual Studio
4. Experience with SQL Server 2000/2005/2008. Stored procedure and function development a plus
5. Experience with Flash, XML, AJAX, Web Services and third-party libraries such as jQuery a plus
6. Strong analytical skills – analyze requirements and develop creative solutions
7. Self motivated and self directed individual
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills
9. Comfortable working in a very fast paced and dynamic environment
