PROJECT OUTLINE
Building on our existing CMS platform built with Ruby on Rails, we would like to implement new authorization features that meet the needs of our clients. Our clients are primarily university libraries and they want to give their students access to our content. We currently work under a user authorization system, but in order to accomodate the universities, anyone who visits our website from certain IP addresses should automatically have full access to all content. Thus, we need the following developed:
1. Universities will give us the IP addresses by email. We want to be able to add, edit, or delete the IP addresses through the admin panel. A new tab, named “IP addresses,” should be created.
2. Users who visit the website from these IP addresses will not see the article excerpts or the user authorization request at the bottom of the excerpts. They will automatically see the full articles.
3. We also want to give students remote access to our content through their university’s proxy server. We are unfamiliar with this feature, but it has been requested, so we welcome your advice.
Long-term employment may be offered upon successful completion of the project. To apply, visit
