I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, so move it if you see fit.
Anyway, I thought this would be of interest to the many people here whom might fool with web servers and the like.
FlashMyIP is a new website for checking your IP, remote host, user-agent, etc. It's great for people (like me) who are behind routers and can't get their external IP from system preferences or control panels, which give local IPs such as 10.0.1.x.
It also has a neat feature in which you can curl flashmyip.com, and it will return the IP only, screen-scraping the HTML for you. This is ideal for writing scripts or desktop apps for checking your IP address.
