help me determine whats wrong

help me determine whats wrong

every time i boot up at a random time a pop up comes up and says NT Authority/ system has unexpectinly closed and windows now must restart and then at the bottom says remote procedure call sercvice terminated unexpectied close.

is this a virus or what is going on. i didnt know where to put this sooo please help.

sounds like a virus yeah... or maybe it's simply a corrupted windows... insert your windows cd and re-install over your current installation without deleting anything... you won't loose anything. if it's windows 2000 or xp use the repair feature on the CD. ... p.s. boot from the windows cdrom

It still didnt work i even reprogramed the whole system

there has been a virus hitting many poeple today called W32.Blaster.Worm that attempts to exploit a windows service and causes PCs to reboot because it puts exploit data together randomly and PC crashes cause of incorrect data, for more info you can go here: Symantec W32.Blaster.Worm info and theres a patch MS fix patch

By going to WindowsUpdate or by using this patch, it should fix your problem. Good luck with it.
