Exclamation WARNING: Jeremy Johnstone, again?

Over a month ago now I paid Jeremy Johnstone a good sum of money ($1000.00 upfront) to do some some backend work for me. It was suppose to be done last weekend (both projects) , and ever since then his communication with me has slowly deminished into nothing, unless I email him (and I usually get the reply a few days later)

The week I am suppose to get my final product, I get this email from him:

"I am 1,500 miles away from him at the moment, but I will do my best.

-Jeremy"

So I'm thinking to myself, what the hell is going on? Well his excuse is that he outsourced the work to a friend/partner, Jason - who has never tried to contact me directly for updates, etc...

He did however ask for my phone number a week ago, but never called me. When asked for his phone number in that same reply email, I never heard from him again.

So I'm left in the dark, with no clue if my projects are getting done, are done, or he is just spending my money and laughing at me. I finally decided to post this as I just say his name online, so I sent him a message and then he instantly went offline.

I would apreshiate it is someone could hook me up with his phone number so I can give him a call, I have a few things to say to him. Or if you read this Jeremy - at least let me know what the hell is going on.

Since you don't want to handle this in a civilized manner and drag business discussions into public, here are the facts of the case:

1.) You asked me if either I or someone I knew could do several projects for you that you needed done. I stated I didn't have time to do them personally (easy to prove how busy I am, look at my signature and you will see what is keeping me busy - Cerberus is more than a fulltime job), but I knew someone who did I could fix you up with.

2.) You gave me the project documentation which I then forwarded to him.

3.) You paid HIM via PayPal for the work to be completed, NOT I. Contact PayPal and find out the owner of the paypal account if you don't believe me.

4.) You continually add additional items to the project and then wonder why the deadlines get extended.

5.) When your not happy that the deadlines got extended (due to your extended work description), you proceed to check in with ME about once an hour for project status. At that time I tell you I am not the one doing the work, and I am not the one who was paid to do the work, and gave you multiple ways to contact the person doing the work (some of which you already had).

Frankly if I knew the type of business person I now know you are, I would never have even referred you to someone and left you on your own.

I really don't care about the extended deadlines for all of the extra stuff we added. I understand that it will take longer, but here is the problem.

1) The guy you refered to me does not like email, calling, or even talking to me in general. I have no clue who he is, where he is, or how to get ahold of him. I only have his email address that he apartently never checks.

I need updates at least, if not my projects done.

PLEASE give me his email, aim, msn, and phone number. Anything that you have. If you want to refer people to me thats fine, but at least make sure they can keep in touch with me.

We are suppose to have our new site up by the end of the year , but it's not looking to good right now. Please got on AIM if you can so we can talk.

I have already given you contact info for him via email (multiple times), but I will send it again and also get in contact with him myself.

Yes, and I have emailed him serveral more times than you have given it to me. But as I said he doesn't like to reply to it.

Please make sure he gets ahold of me tonight, I've heard many times that you would try to contact him - but then I don't hear from anyone again until I email you again.

Also, for the record - I have been more than civilized this whole time. I email you everyday for updates, and never hear back. What made me post this is when you were online and then get offline as soon as I shot a message over to you.

I figured this was the only way to get your attention.

Email sent as has been the case with the other emails I have sent in reply virtually every time you email. Let's take this off a public forum where it doesn't belong.

Okay, here comes Rapid with his big moderating shot gun.

First if the guy didn't do the work, and you paid with paypal dispute the payment for non-recipt.

Second don't post it here, no-one cares! Seriously no-one cares if this guy did the work for you or not, we are all programmers not people looking to hire someone.

Also if you hired one person why make a topic discrediting another person?

Finally in conclusion; thread closed!
