for the admins/tools-soft/stolen software

Posted this as a reply in another thread, but thought it
should have its own and any comments/feedback about
this would be appreciated. Unfortunately, it seems several
people are stealing & selling software, but this guy is the
(stupidiest) about it, in that all he does is simply remove someone
else's copyright message and plaster in his own name.

Tools-soft.com is selling software they have simply stolen
the source code to from companies such as OpenCube, and
and Gokhan Dagli (http://www.appletcollection.com/ascroll.html).

Take a look at some of "tools-soft" "software", (which is really
one guy, even though he says he is a "team" of developers. Bull shit).
Anyways -- he also has "jordan-markets" selling the *exact* same
stuff in the hotscripts site, just under a different name. Plus,
somehow "magically" a lot of his stuff has managed to appear at
the top of the category rankings... Hmm... I wonder...

Are you sure they aren't an affilicate or perhaps paid to be able to brand it themselves? If not, it's not too difficult to have a case against them by the company that ownes the copyright. However, that still entails money and time to pursue, which may not be worth it for said company.

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply, been busy.

Yes, I am sure he is not an affiliate, and not paid to brand it himself.
(a) If he was an affiliate, there would be an affiliate link when you
go to purchase an item (which there is not), and
(b) The code is nearly identical aside from him simply replacing the
copyright notice with his own, and no -- he was not paid to brand it.
He ripped it off from a number of different developers, and is selling
it as his own.

Also, he is not a 'company', rather an individual (it is amazing the lies
some people can print on the internet). There are no "team of 20
software developers", unless of course he is referring to having ripped
it off from other developers.
