Why dmoz accepts free yahoo sites and does not accept TLD ones?

Why dmoz accepts free yahoo sites and does not accept TLD ones?

You can see lots of free yahoo sites on dmoz...when you try to submit your tld site you dont get listed not even in 1 billion years...

I think DMOZ has some serious issues. I have some 3 year old sites filled with content on their own domain and they are still not accepted. Don't know if the people there still care .. are there any active editors in the DMOZ project? I don't think there's a webmaster forum under the sun that hasn't got at least 20 posts made by people who are not pleased with what's going on at DMOZ

DMOZ allows people to be an editor..provided your app gets approved by senior ODP editor. Perhaps the regional category for which you are trying to include your sites has scarce editorial resource at DMOZ..

Trying to be an editor at dmoz or even get a site listed is like filling a glass of water without the glass
