How to record a demo for my products

Hey

I am looking for a screen recorder program to record step by step How-to demo for my products. I would appreciate if someone could suggest a good and inexpensive screen recorder software?

I think what you are asking in simple words is how can you play video files on webcam? If that’s what you are asking then you can use fake webcam or webcam simulator or a program similar to those two. There are many out there. Fake webcam is free I guess.

Actually, I think he's more looking for a screen capture program to record an actual demonstration of the software as either a sales or tutorial type fashion. If that's the case, I'd suggest Fraps. it is used by the guys who do those video game videos, but will easily lend itself to recording what's on the screen. It's $37 and very powerful with a free trial.

http://www.fraps.com

Other programs are like Camtasia and Adobe's Captivate, but these are hundreds of dollars and a bit overkill. I would try the fraps and see how it goes.

Also, just a tip, to keep file size low, try recording in a lower screen resolution like 800x600. You can still get your point across without killing your bandwidth when your trying to display this video.

Hope this helps.
