There are more well-written, mature portal scripts out there than you can shake a stick at, and many of them are free. I think the software you're proposing to write would have to be exceptional in order to sell it for anything more than a modest cost. Unless it had features not found anywhere else, or has some other characteristic that sets it apart from the rest, you're looking at an uphill battle.

Just my 2 cents.

Do you have a demo? What sort of features/functions did you include?

I'd say $5-$10 for something basic and simple would be fine, but in order to charge more, you'd have to have a decent feature set or offer something great to justify a higher cost.

yea to tell you the truth...you can only make money when you have made something that is completely original...there are so many free portals...that charging for yours would be completely pointless...you could probably make more money by putting ads on the download page...

...this post may seem a bit mean...but thats life

Do you live in a dream world or something?
By the way, can anyone recommend me a good method/script for automated paypal payments? I think i will need that (or something that pays directly to my bank account, that would be even better )

About the demo there's one here related to the beta version (the current online version is pretty outdated).
