Wink MONEY...!!!!!!

My story:
I have made money from PHP.
but im not sell one single script to people just like that.

I build a whole site for clients.
and they could ask me to make anykind of script they want.
because clients want their application different with the other exists sites.

I ve just made 6 dynamic sites.
it's not a big number, but i think it's good for a start.

I'm tired making FREE SCRIPT, it seem didn't give me any profit
the users which uses my script wouldn't even know my name.
and never thank me or anything
but it's ok, i m happy for it, it means they like my script.
I've search my script with google,
and i found it has been placed in more than 5 sites.

and...

There's a lot of VERY GOOD & FREE script posted in Hotscripts.com or other script center sites.
so where do I have to start?

build a same script ?
... useless, and it will be unwanted

build a more featured script ?
... difficult, a lot of time to spent, get headache, etc

So it will be more easier and bigger money
to build application BASED ON CLIENT NEEDS.
r a t h e r...
build a very COMPLICATED SCRIPT
which UNCERTAINLY NEEDED BY CLIENT..

AND FOR NOW...
THE PROBLEM HIS HOW TO PROMOTE YOUR SKILLS...???

If you are an amateur but having good programing skill,
just try to get a project in http://www.scriptlance.com

HAPPY SCRIPT HUNTING

What would a "decent modular CMS" have, that...say.... phpNuke, PostNuke, nuke this, nuke that..... doesn't already have?

I'm not disagreeing with you, just curious. Oh, and are there CMS's that cost 20k? jeez

Ok, for a start the *nukes* are all bloated and I find their modular support appaling, so for a start decent module support, complete with themes, language packs, blocks, and their own admin panel.

Thats what im foing with core cms...

And core cms is free

I'm creating my own CMS. Not opensource tough... Gonna sell it locally for like $100 including hosting. Where i live there's a huge shortage of people that are willing to pay big bucks for a website so i'm creating this alternative which will not look anything like a portal, it will look exactly like a website.

Still in my opinion a windows control panel will make big bucks ! There litteraly millions of admins out there using a windows based server and not 1 single control panel is good for them. There are ensim and helm but neighter of them support apache. IIS isn't that good with php and mysql (for obvious reasons), So to have php you must use apache which you cannot use a cpanel on as it's not supported.

Make a feature full one, advertise it on the internet and you'll see what i mean.

Damian

Hmm, my cms could be used as either, a portal or complete cms, you can have diff main templates for diff pages even!

What is 'helm'?

Yeah, ISS isnt good, it adds about 1 second to the load time of pages on my server... :/

helm is a hosting system for windows but it's not good. search around on google for helm, ensim or plesk and you'll get the idea.
