freeware MPEG to AVI converter

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good working piece of software, that is also freeware, that will convert MPEGs to AVI?

I've tried a lot of them.... one that does a very good job in my opinion is "Super" by eRightsoft.

Their website is really hard to find an actual download link... so maybe try download.com too

But otherwise it's a decent freeware program for converting video formats.

The program I used before i changed computers was called something like "3G converter" its free and can be found on google. If i find a link i will post it, but currently im at school and they block access to google searches with X amount of parameters.

P.S not sure if its changed but when i had it i was abe to convert MPEG to AVI, but has been a while since i've needed to use it.

I agree with Ghost... I found 3G converter to be very helpful.
Makes life with ipods much easier.
