Why not take advantage of YouTube itself through a YouTube Library in PHP or ASP.NET to run it on your own site? You can get the same exact functionality without paying a dime for bandwidth or buying the script.

Id be learry of buying these premade / prefab scripts. They are sold by the score, are not well written or documented, and are copied all over the place. Also if your not a coder, then you have no way of knowing what kind of hax or backdoor are in there.

If you want a site hook up with a good coder and get one done for you custom.

Definitely not recommended....Instead find a good coder from GAF or elace and tell him what do you want..that would be more convenient..

Yes, but it's really easy to just get it from there and have them install it on my server. I want it up and running so i can upload my videos on it, and i am nuts about that design..i don't care about coding it or changing it. The guy from the Home*-*ClipCenter : Youtube Clone - Video Sharing Script - Youtube Script live support chat said they are the only ones with a script written in CodeIgniter software, coz i did some research on the net and indeed i found alot of copies.. but from what i found out, this one is written from 0 .
Another thing i liked is that they said it's optimized for big loads of users..never saw that anywhere else.
I'm still thinkin of buying it, will reply with a feedback if i do.

See if you can get an evaluation copy.

And - $159 isn't too much money. If it doesn't work out, write it off as a learning experience. As long as you understand that it may not be worth the money, and you have the money to spend.

If you can't afford to lose $159 - take the advice from the other members and use a different solution.

If you think that $159 is not much to you, why not go and buy it and start working on the site seriously? But you need to search a little more if any other scripts are offering better features than the script.

It's not really that much... But is it going to do what you want it to?
