I am trying to delete a folder but there is an htaccess preventing it, how do i make thtta file visible to delete it? im using cute ftp 5.0xp

Never had this problem. But if you think .htaccess is preventing it.
Temorarily rename .htaccess to some other file and delete.

It is also possible the file/directory your is looking at is not empty or
just a link/shortcut in which case you will need a different way to
access the files than FTP.(Don't know about cuteFTP).

If you changed your FTP login name and the file is owned by someone
else you probably cannot delete it but can view it if they set permissions
to allow others to view.
