Help adding .mid music file to autoplay and loop

Hi,

I need help with making a .mid music file autoplay continously looping on all pages of my site when a user logs on. My site is built in HTML, tables and I have been successful in adding the mid file as a behavior and have it play on load, but it stops once the page has loaded once, I also have had to put this behavior on each page.

Is there any way to add the .mid file to the index page and have it play until the user leaves the page? I don't even need a "play music" "stop music" button, it is soft background music, it won't need to be controlled by the user.

Thanks for ANY help!!

PS...I am on a Mac and how I have coded the behaviors now works fine on a PC, but on my Mac, in IE 5, once the page loads, it goes to blank page with a quicktime logo on it and a play bar, but I get no sound!?!?! Any idea what's going on here or if the solution that I am requesting above, will fix this?

Please HELP! THANK you

I have a similar problem so hopefully if there's an answer for you, it can help me also.

Maybe post some code that you used already. That might give us an idea of what you've done already and why it doesn't work with IE5. Though I will say IE 5 is old, even for a mac... no updating?

Does an embedded windows media player work for macs? I'm doubting it, but i'm not a mac person.

What about a small embedded flash player thing?

I'm not sure of your application, but I can't think of ANY situation why you shouldn't give the user an option to turn the sound off.

More reason to use a flash audio player. As well it will be much more platform/browser compatible. You will need to convert your .mid to an mp3 for flash though.

http://www.jeroenwijering.com/ offers a free flash player or if you want something to pay for www.wimpyplayer.com is pretty good too.
