I am looking to improve on the system our organization uses to track members' volunteer work hours. I am not our webmaster, but I think we use Formmail or something like it to collect submissions from members, that get emailed to the secretary. I would like to help us move to a system that collects a member's total hours and let's him access his own data with a password. The collected data would go into a file where the secretary could access it more conveniently that transferring it from an email.

My ISP provides PHP4 and Formmail, so I could easily work on something using those. I could pay more for MySQL, but I haven't used any of these languages. I'm not sure what capabilities our club's ISP provides, but I could link to my ISP if I had to.

I would appreciate being pointed toward available scripts that do something close to this.
