New to websites

Hi, I do not really know how to ask for what I am looking for. I am starting a new website and was referred to this site. I am looking for a few programs to have put on my site. I am not sure what the computer lingo is, I want to find a program that would allow me to allow access to my site after payment is recieved. I am just reading trying to get a grasp on this.
