Question Introduction and were to post a CGI question

Hello All,

I am far from a programmer, I have created a website for personal enjoyment. I recently purchased a domain name.

I ask Angelfire's Tech support this question and they refered me to this website.

I made a website, www.angelfire.com/planet/frugal

After I purchase a domain name and an upgrade from Angelfire.

I cut/pasted a CGI code for random quotes to appear on my index page.

Here is the code
<!--#include virtual="/cgi-bin/script_library/random_content?directory=random&member_name=/planet/frugal"-->

I then created a subdirectory called /random

within the subdirectory I created 10 "quote" .txt files.

When you look at my index page of my site by entering through www.angelfire.com/planet/frugal , the CGI works just fine.

But when you try to go to my site through www.rainbowatdawn.org

You see this error message where the random quotes should be
"Can't open random in the directory of
No files in directory to display."

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dawn

The not so long winded solution is check that your links and referneces to any links/scripts etc are relative to the exact fixed location.

Hope that helps.
