Need Internet Filter Bypass

A friend of mine is askingme if I know a way to bypass the filter from her work computer so that she can use facebook etc, I already gave her a url that lets you enter the new address, but that didn't work, I also told her to add the dot or dot/ after the address, apparently that's bunk too, any ideas?

Connect through a proxy.

IE just go to internet options > connection then set a proxy. (get some from google search)

Alternatively a proxy bypass website more than likely wont work.

You can also install firefox to a memory stick and run that I think. (works on college network)

Use her internet at home...There is a reason IT people put filters on networks...e.g. to help people focus on the task at hand and to keep them from downloading crap that destroys the network. Your friend will most certainly be in danger of doing the second if setting up a proxy is too difficult.

Sound Advice

That is definately a good concept your have going with the 'oh save the network, yadayada', unfortunately that isn't what I asked for was it? Not only is your comment irrelevent, it so obviously mirrors your net nazi attitude.
