Smile Learning Java

Hello all! I have previous experience in C and some C++ but have decided to jump into Java. This is pretty interesting...I've got the OO part down, classes and such, now I'm just trying to learn the rest. Does anyone with Java experience have any tips for me? BTW I'm F/34 from Memphis, TN. Thanks!!
