Uploading/emailing logs in assembler

Hi I'm using assembler and want to know if its possible to check for an internet connection then upload via ftp / email a text file at specified intervals. A tutorial would be appreciated.

internet connection is on top of HTTP, there is no assemply call to open an http connection.
