Question Error Logs

I am on a Linux System running Perl 5.8.1 and I am having trouble installing a guestbook in my cgi-bin. Have set Perl path to cgi-bin, FTp'd ANSII, chmoded files correctly, but I still get the dreaded Error Message. My Error Log is:

"Tue Jan 18 19:40:47 2005] [error] [client 204.116.102.254] File does not exist: /home/cgdotorg/public_html/500.shtml
[Tue Jan 18 19:40:47 2005] [error] [client 204.116.102.254] Premature end of script headers: /home/cgdotorg/public_html/cgi-bin/guestbook/guestbook.cgi "

I can't understand what's happening since I installed a bulletin board in the cgi-bin and it works flawlessly. It won't even let me install a simple counter. I would really appreciate any help I can get.

There's not a whole lot to go on there and it sounds like you covered the basics. Make sure your directories are also set to 755. If that doesn't do it, can you post the code?

Also,

Have set Perl path to cgi-bin
How about setting the correct path to Perl (not the cgi-bin) in the shebang? Or is this what you meant?
