hi *,

how can i access (read, change, ...) system files, for example boot.ini, with my perl script.

That's a pretty general question you're asking but if you need to strictly work with ini files I'd recommend one of the ini config parsers on CPAN:

Specifically:

http://search.cpan.org/~wadg/Config-...es/IniFiles.pm
or
http://search.cpan.org/~jenda/Config-IniHash/IniHash.pm
