Have no idea what happened, but out of the blue, I cant get most images to display under either Apache/PHP on my WinXP PC. Smaller gif's will display, but not bigger ones, and absolutely no jpg's will open up.
If I run an HTML page from, say, my puters desktop, and it has a standard img src tag, images display fine. But if I open a php program under Apache, the images are replaced by the dreaded "Red X". Attributes like "border" and "alt" work...just no damn picture shows up.
I've tried variations of the img src tag, nothing works, whether its using the actual file name or pulling the name from a db. I havent made any changes to Apache, PHP, or anything else. This is happening in both my IE and Mozilla browsers, as well as Mozilla Firefox. I've cleared the caches on these, and havent made any changes in them.
Could one of those "Windows Updates" for XP have done something? I've ran my antivirus (AVG) and found nothing. My ZoneAlarm often alerts me that Apache is trying to access the internet when I'm online...although it doesn't give any details why. Guess I'm grasping at straws here, but I'm totally lost as to what is going on.
