Running scheduled PHP scripts?

I am running Windows XP server, with Apache Web server, and PHP 4.3.2

I would like to schedule my scripts to run at certain times, I know there has to be away, but how.

You might be able to use windows schedule program. You go into windows control panel and select scheduled task.

I tried that, but I would like it to run in the background. And not have a box pop-up, when I'm working on the system. Is it is still possible.

The other possibility would be to see if there's a GNU version of cron that might work. I'm sure there are other freeware and shareware scheduling packages around. There also might be a way to turn off the scheduler popup... check out the microsoft KB.
