Linking Tables

Hi All.

I am new to MySql & Php.

I have an online order form which saves the Different Forms to 1 DB but 5 Tables.

I have setup the page to use the ID's of each entry in the Tables to reference the entries.
This is risky should the ID's go out of Sync.

Is there a better way to do the linking?

Thank You all.

Regards
Tom
