I am making a script for photo updates. Right now, I am just laying out the script and documenting it and such, before I actually get to coding it. Basically the only thing I don't know how to do is: take the images that have already been uploaded via FTP, and add theme to the database.
If you have ever been in the admin area of Coppermine Photo Gallery, there is something called 'Batch Add Pictures', that is exactly what I need.

If you aren't familiar with it, it gets the files from a folder on the server, lets you input some variables (captions and things), then moves the files to the permanent location and inserts the info needed in a MySQL database. How do I get the files from the server, display them, and move them?

I think a way you could do this is ...
ftp_rawlist will build a array
then mysql_query insert it into you DB

sorry really in a hurry right now so I can't explane hehe
just check out those functions and the array function.
if you still can't figure it out when I get back I will post it in detail

last thing IMO it would be easyer to insert them in your db while you uploaded them.
