Problem with Auto Dealer Script

Hello, I'm very new to PHP. I was wondering if you could help or point me in the right direction. I followed the instructions for installing Car Dealer Website up to the point of
-chmod 777 upload/ and upload/tmp/
-open site.xml and edit the database section with your database details.

What does -chmod 777 upload/ and upload/tmp/ Mean?

I not able to view anything when I go to my website. I created the database. I try to go to the admin page but nothing comes up, index.php and nothing.

Please help.

I am also using the car dealer website download.

I am getting the following string

Warning: main(./admin/lib/site.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/L/y/n/Lyndora/html/config.php on line 3

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required './admin/lib/site.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/content/L/y/n/Lyndora/html/config.php on line 3

Anyone able to help??

It seems like they need to update their instructions because people are having a hard time installing this software that looks like it promises a lot. I dont understand what they mean in the instructions for install, when they say: chmod 777 upload/ and upload/tmp/

What is: chmod 777 upload/ and upload/tmp/?

Do you have any help for me? It is 2009, and I am trying to install this auto dealer software. Is it written in an old version of PHP? I am running PHP 5. Does this make a difference? Does anyone else have experience in installing this particular software?

Hello Nuzzle... are you still watching this old thread? if you are I am curious what your problem was. I am getting the exact same error message: SELECT * FROM `` WHERE ``=''Incorrect table name ''
After migrating form a windows server to a Linux server.

What was the problem?
