A help with Stat Buttons

Hi,
thanks for reading any way....
well, what I'm looking for is to build a state button- you see a lot around these days.

BUT I'm some kind new to php and mysql.
I did some reading but I came up with a very big fat 0.

here it is.

I have a DB - - and some table on it.

I need to get some of the data on a specific table into the button.

example:
DB=list
Table=db_table

The data are on some fields A,B,C

All I'm asking you is just a lead or a tut. - I do like to do it myself, but still need your help -

thanks a million

Nicholas
