Question SQL layout

Hey,
Im primarily a programmer with a little knowledge of databases, but layout just confuses me when it gets to complex. Can anyone recomend a program that you can enter in the the data and realations and it does the layout for you?
Even a good tutorial recomendation would be a help. In particular a tutorial on how to layout the database for an e-store that needs categories and a few levels of subcats.

Thanks in advance

You could user SQL Navigator or TOAD to do this, but they're spendy tools. I don't know of any free or low-cost alternatives but maybe someone else here does.

PhpMyAdmin

Hey Nevermind,
I know how to use phpMyAdmin but thats primarily a tool for actually building the database and creating queries. Im looking for something that will suggest ways to lay it out to avoid data redundancy. Its easy enough when you are talking about a few tables but when you have many categories and subcats all containing items that may belong to other cats and are trying to link in details of the manufacturer, price, etc... it can get kinda messy. So what Im really looking for is something where you can say, here is what I want to do, how do I structure the info.
