FTP file edit via PHP

I currently working on a web panel and I need it to be able to edit a config file via ftp. Pretty much just an open text area, change what you need in the config, then it reuploads the file.

If anyone has a tutorial on this or even explain how, I will be greatful.

Thanks.

but in order to edit a file you have to download it first and edit it then reupload it again..
