Question Chumpsoft phpQ - populate select field from db?

I've been asked to create an online directory and questionaire. I'm thinking of using phpDirectory for the Directory and Chumpsoft phpQ 2.1 for the Survey.

For one of the questions I need to ask in the questionaire, I want to populate the possible answers with the names of businesses in the phpDirectory in a select field. I've contacted the developers of phpQ but have not had a reply yet and my Client really wants to move on this. This point aside, I'd be happy with phpQ.

Has anyone had experience of phpQ to know whether it's possible to hack the code to do this?

Failing this, can anyone suggest an alternative? I don't need dedicated survey software as such, but want to be able to save circa 100 answers to a db for later download or ideally emailing individual results when completed - it's only the individual results I want, not interested in comparison between surveys or trends in the data.

Thanks,

Simon

Unhappy it's possible but...

Just heard from the developers,

Quote:
Unfortunately, like you surmised, the standard install does not have the
capabilities you are seeking. Also at this time, we do not have
very much time for customer customization due to the fact that we are
working hard to bring a service-based survey tool (complete with all the
requested features, including the pre-population you are seeking).

We highly recommend that you contract a PHP programmer to add this
feature, it may not be difficult to add, integrate it and test it.
So they're developing the next version to have the features I want

So, anyone recommend a good programmers to get a quote?

Thanks,

Simon
