We have seen a function on a couple of websites but can't seem to find anybody who knows how this is build - so we are hoping that someone here may have the knowledge we are looking for!
When you register with these sites they ask if you would like to import your contact list from your address book. You then enter your email address and email password (for MSN/Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL or Gmail) and their system then automatically emails all of your contacts to ask if they want to join you on the site.
Example of sites that have this function are:
www.wayn.com
www.hi5.com
If you have any knowledge of this area and know how it is build we would love to know. Also, if anyone here is capable of developing something like this please contact us as well.
