Exclamation Method for searching and storing <html> code

Does anybody know of a method to search a single <html> source for a specific .class or keyword and then to store that information in a variable?

For example: I have permission from my local online news source to pull the headlines off of their website and run the first paragraph of the story.

Unfortunately, they don't use RSS or any other form of syndication that can be duplicated.

I want to be able to pull the text from their site once a day... store it into a variable or database, and then have that information called when the page is requested by the surfer.

Thanks in advance,

Aaron

Hi Aaron,

Your will need to use the CURL Library: http://www.php.net/curl

Here is a decent tutorial: http://www.devpapers.com/article/324 that you can go through to get youeself started.
