Submitting form error

Hi, I just found this forum online & I am having such a problem right now. I don't know much about web design stuff but my webmaster recently updated a contact form that I have on my company website to PHP language. Now it works when she sends me a "test" form but not when I try to do the same. I am getting an "illegal execution detected!"

What type of error is this?

Any advice is appreciated.

Tiffany

That error message (if you have listed it exactly as it was displayed) appears to be a message sent by the code (it is not a PHP language produced error.) In fact I seem to recall that message in some recent PHP script I saw on this form.

I suspect that the code determined that the format of some of the information you entered was not correct. To receive any help, you will need to post both the code for the form and for the PHP script that processes it.

Okay thanks for your answer, I wish I understood these things better.

I need it fixed asap and my webmaster doesn't know what is causing it to happen when I fill out the form myself.

When you wrote post the code & the code for the script, I don't even know what the code for the script would be.

I only had my web lady change the form since she said it would be more secure. The previous form was done in FrontPage she said. Mabey I'll have her change it back?

But even then I was not getting every single form filled out. But now it's really not working I don't think.

What you mentioned about any help, do you mean post the code here? I can't do that but I can email it.

Thanks!
Tiffany

Can you post a link to this form?

This code either consists of one file (both the form and processing code in one) in which case it would be named something.php.

If this is done in two separates files (one for the form and one for the processing code) the from code would either be something.htm or something.html or something.php. The PHP processing code file would be named somethingelse.php.

You will need to open (edit) these files and copy and past the contents here. Wrap the code using the PHP code tags (see the PHP button under the [ Color ] selector near the top of the post edit box.)

The person who wrote/created this cannot determine if this is an error message produced by the code and what test caused it to be produced???
