Question Time in nanoseconds

Hello everyone,

It is probably something simple and I am quite sure overlooking some functions, but I'll ask it anyway.

Is there a function to calculate the nanoseconds that have past since 12:00 A.M., January 1, 0001 untill a given date, e.g. 06:30 P.M, September 26, 2003 ?

Thanks in advance,
Gunther

check out the date() and/or mktime()-functions in the php-manual on php.net
