site search - jump to results?

Hey everybody. I have a client with a specific question and I can't seem to find the right search engine.

I am looking for a search engine that I can incorperate into my site www.marshallcountyonline.com that will jump STRAIGHT to the page the result is on.

"Huh?" you say? Well. The site is a giant list (broken down into different pages) of all the businesses in the county. Each business has a listing on a different page in a category.

So, when a user SEARCHES for a business, it would be nice if, instead of showing a results list, it jumps straight to the listing, wherever it may be.

Not only that, if a user searches for a specific category (lets say Automotive), it will go straight to the category.

It makes more sense when you look at the site.

Anyway, does anyone know of any search scripts in PHP that would accomodate something like that? Or have any advice to pursue this type of searching?

Thanks a bunch for the help!

If I am reading exactly what you wanted to say then....

If i search for Food and Result is ten links then on which link will you redirect me?

there is one possiblity that i can see for this kinda search and that is try to find out the main category name from the searching value and then redirect user to that category automatically but it will not be an efficient searching practice.

As you cannot send the user to the link that he was EXACTLY looking for with this technique, therefore I would discourage such search mechanism.
