Merging databases

I need some help with MySQL databases, used for my message board. I honestly do not know much about it and am essentially just asking anyone who is able/willing to help with this for a favor in giving me a hand. If anyone thinks they can, please let me know, thanks.

Send me an email to digi_oz@yahoo.com with a brief description of what it is exactly that you need help with and I will be happy to help you out.

I am posting these step-by-step instructions for future reference (in case someone else has the same problem later on some day). I have also attached the merging script required for this task along with this post for others who don't have it. You would have to rename this file and give it a ".php" extension for it to work.

About The vBulletin Merge Tool
---------------------------------
To use it, you have to do the following:

Step 1 - go to the directory where your vbulletin forum is in.
Step 2 - Create a folder called "importers" inside of that forum.
Step 3 - Copy the file "bbimport_vb2.php" into the importers folder.
Step 4 - Go to the administrative panel of your forum at "admin/index.php"
Step 5 - Click on "BBImports Systems".
Step 6 - Highlight the "The vBulletin Merge Tool " option in the textarea provided there.
Step 7 - Click on "Begin Import" button
Step 8 - In the textbox that says "Database Server", put the IP address of the database server where the other database that is being merged in (imported) resides.
Step 9 - Enter the "Database Name", "Database Password" and "vBulletin Database Name" in text box.
Step10- Click "Start Merge" to begin merging the two databases together.
