Not sure if I need CONTENT MANAGEMENT software

hi all,

I am new to building website, so any help would be greatly appriciated.

I am trying to inculde a page on my website that i can log on to then update some information on another page online, without having to edit the page with dreamweaver and then load it to the server.

I am not sure whether i need CONTENT MANAGEMNT for this or not.

Please, if anyone could help i would be greatful. Thanx in advance.

That is what they call content management so you will need a very basic and simple CMS. I suggest checking out: http://www.opensourcecms.com/.

Essentiall that's what a CMS is and is used for.

If you are just looking to change the content on one page, I would just make a custom CMS for it that updates a text file with the HTML you want to display.
