apache not working on Mozilla and Opera

hi. I've got a problem with Apache, at least I think it's Apache that makes the problem. it's the first time I see such a problem and I've installed Apache on many PCs, and it was working. but now I reinstalled my home PC and tried to get Apache, PHP and MySQL back. the setup went fine and blablabla, but it works only on Internet Explorer. when I try to view PHP pages in Mozilla and Opera, it just shows me the source code, and nothing more. I can access localhost through Opera and Mozilla, but the PHP files just don't open as supposed. can someone help me with this? thanks in advance

In .htaccess file add:
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php

Or add that in the Apache config file.

that changes something, but it's still not working as supposed. now it's asking me to whether open or save these files, like, I click on a link and it's asking me to save or open the target. if I choose open, it kinda downloads it and opens, but nothing is visible - it don't shows pictures, 'cuz it can't locate them, and nothing's working as supposed. maybe another line should be added which will tell apache what to do with these files?..

I have an idea... Why not just use WAMP? www.wampserver.com
