Thats not accurate. Java and Javascript are different which is worth remembering. Javascript is a client side scripting language which is activated by the clients browser whereas Java is a server side language which is functioned on the server which then displays the output.
vBulletin is pretty secure but there are a number of known loopholes with earlier versions of v2. Which version are you running?
Also, ask this person to prove what he is telling you by reading the last PM you sent so you can then confirm if he is correct or is making it up.
